The Uniform Shop has made a loss of $40.50 for the month of August as there were purchases of $2,828.78. We had sold $2,788.28 with a total of $8,132.17 so far this year. Have to wait until end of this month to give a total on the fundraising as all figures are not completed for the Rock & Roll night to give us a true figure. The meeting has been held with Sue & Natalie with the main concern being register discrepancies. I had organised for Ken from Cross Office Choice to come down and do some more training. Hopefully this has helped Sue & Natalie in balancing at the end of the day. Jacqui has a copy of the meeting minutes if you wish to read them. I have transferred the $60,000 into the Busienss Online Saver Account. I would like the accounts that were paid in August which were $18,057.91 be ratified. Normally the Rock and Roll Night is held during term 1 (weeks 7 or 8) however if the P&C wants to do this next year we cannot wait until after the AGM to arrange as we will be in the same position as this year. If OK, then I will see if we can book The Nightowls for either Friday 14 committee would only need to confirm and then organize the refreshments etc. Is everyone in agreeance with this? Toy Catalogues are out – response has been fairly slack. I will collate orders and send off over the school holidays. Hopefully the Prep/Year 1/Year 2 can get some educational materials etc out of this. Within the first 3 weeks of next term, year 2 and 2/3 classes will be doing a calendar fundraiser which will raise funds for them to purchase more resources for their classes. The Christmas Fair is only 10 weeks away and preparations have begun. Hatfields have again agreed to donate $1000 grocery voucher as first prize in the raffle and I am still waiting on hearing back from some other businesses for the minor raffle prizes. All rides etc have been reconfirmed and other things are beginning to be organized. Notes will go out early in Term 4 regarding the Xmas Fair and requests for helpers. I would like to ask whether there would be some parents on the P & C who can help man the P & C Room in the 4 weeks leading up to the fair (from Monday 28 day of Fair – 21 every morning and most afternoons to receive and receipt raffle tickets, armbands and stall donations etc. If you can help out please let me know as I am unable to be here at the school every day myself and would appreciate anyone else helping me out with this. If need be I can do up a bit of a roster for everyone who can assist. I have not heard back from Domino’s Pizza re: dough raising night however I will follow them up and see what is going on before next meeting in October.
